The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 滚导有种九十年代初模仿好莱坞的香港导演的感觉，趣味很cult又蛮不正经的，tone跳的特别自由。但哈利奎恩走廊杀人那段太美丽，小丑女就是我妈妈！暴走美式派大星有着新浪微博般的大眼睛，其实应该让夹总来把它夹掉～不过小丑女和老鼠们最后的扑杀也是蛮美丽又蛮恶心的。娱乐性和画面观赏性都很好的片子，但最后老鼠太多了，把本来在睡觉的我猫都召唤出来了，如果在电影院看我可能会当场死亡……
反套路剧情，华丽摇滚配乐，鲜花蝴蝶打造血浆美学，跟几年前的同名爆米花相比算是大惊喜。小丑女值得一部单人电影，又美艳又疯癫，每次出场都像在开盲盒，这特么才是反传统英雄的正确打开方式啊~
OVA珠玉在前了，分镜都分好了，电影复刻省事很多。村花撑起了巴的角色，可惜白梅香这个点没用上，看来导演真没什么野心，就四平八稳地把故事讲下去。本来很期待的打戏，这次反倒没太多亮点，血色白雪可能是为数不多的记忆点。结尾闪回系列第一部开头用上熟悉的配乐，拉回几分悲怆感。
反英雄人设的重口味超英喜剧片，血浆化作蝴蝶，神经病拯救世界，反派失语仰望星空。
好笑又爽快的B级片，恶趣味溢出，用 Monster is nom nom 来指挥鲨鱼人，怪兽临死前甚至还会留一句很有诗意的遗嘱。DC 放弃正义联盟吧，专心搞这个疯逼系列就好了。
可惜要佐藤健像剑心15岁那样是挺难的，他没有那种稚气。
看完这部才解惑前面几部，串联很多历史事件，跟巴的感情戏也好
学学隔壁日本怎么拍武侠吧，不是武侠片落寞了，是真的香港和国内的不会好好拍。
开头的反杀戏满分！但这个雪代巴感觉有那么点违和～最后十字刀疤还是很痛心啊！衔接到第一部就燃起来的同时又有种隐隐的痛感，哎，还是我最爱的追忆篇啊！剑心系列真的是真人漫改的top了，欣慰！
认识砂糖十年而他依然坚挺！打戏太棒脸也没变，追忆篇场景超美！大雪倾覆遍地白皑，火与雪红与白对比，巴与剑心邂逅，感情收尾干净利落，流露点到为止。爱上仇人无计可施，只好保护他而死。少年初登江湖，劲道凌厉经验不足。她在他脸颊留下剑痕，风雨漂泊中的幸福一点也够。幕后打戏训练堪比原片，而国内依然热衷瘦甜发嗲小奶狗。
也是想要给他留下点什么
更关键的是，影片狠狠涮了一把坏事做尽的美国政府（现实里美帝就是这鸟德性），反衬出主角团的正派，说穿了，骨子里仍是美式个人英雄主义，但却不像老生常谈那样惹人生厌，甚好，甚好。
故事回到一切开始的源点。之前看三部曲的时候，感觉剑心和熏已经越来越水到渠成。后来看了最终章，才知道原来还有一位巴小姐和剑心有过一段情。而且熏和巴看上去确实是同样类别。都是明显的禁欲系。也许正好配剑心的冷峻。回顾剑心真人版五部曲，应该说本作中的感情戏处理的最好。而动作戏可能最弱化。
村花的大饼脸实在难以下咽，巴当年好歹也是清冷女神的，高桥一生的假发子是唯一的磕点。话说那本日记在这里又出现了，不是正篇给了和尚吗？北村一辉怎么出来了一小下就没了
我以为忘了想念，而面对夕阳希望你回到今天。我记得捧你的脸，在双手之间看你的眼。
真·DCEU目前最好电影，露JJ露MM，脑浆四溢，少儿不宜。剧情好看，音乐好听，坐等OST。血腥搞笑反套路，搞怪中透着浪漫，每个角色都很有特色。最后想知道哪里能领养一只鲨鱼王！！！！！
不得不说网飞出品的质量，从没令人失望过，真不错。
终于看了网飞的资源，武戏很赞但是文戏太拖沓了，因为字幕还没出来也不想听配音，中间还睡着了。。。没有交代小剑心被人口贩子卖了被比古搭救这一段，有点遗憾。但是三十多的佐藤确实少年感还是很强啊比前几部看上去都要年轻怎么回事，这点真的很厉害。刀刀见血也很好看。总之ova yyds

这不就是烂片吗，这个分数怎么了，感情跟漫威调换了？还是大家把这片当成漫威打分了，这电影前头水成那样都看不下去，后面把美国的丑恶嘴脸暴露出来就又有点那味了。但是也还是改变不了这是烂片的事实啊。而且我建议以后DC拍的电影时长都4个小时以上，因为每次导演想讲的东西太多！
